Lucero II is an impressive 8-year-old approved PRE stallion who combines genuine sport quality with an exceptionally kind and reliable character. With his impressive presence, outstanding movement and lovely rideability, he is a horse that immediately catches the eye.

Lucero comes directly from the renowned breeder Yeguada El Romerito in Málaga and has gained competition experience both in Spain and in the Netherlands.

Movement & potential

Lucero has three very good basic gaits. He has a big and correct walk, an exceptionally expressive and ground-covering trot with great suppleness and strong use of the hind leg, and a lovely uphill canter with good natural balance.

His trot in particular is a real highlight. Lucero moves with impressive scope and ease while also showing a natural ability to collect.

Lucero is currently competing at KNHS M1 level in the Netherlands, while his training at home is already considerably more advanced. He is being trained towards ZZ-Zwaar level and already performs flying changes and tempi changes every four, three and two strides.

He finds the more advanced work easy and shows the quality, attitude and natural ability to continue developing towards the higher levels of dressage.

Competition experience

Lucero already has valuable competition experience. In Spain, he competed in young horse classes and he has since also competed in the Netherlands.

This means he is familiar with travelling, different competition environments and performing away from home.

Rideability & character

What makes Lucero particularly special is his character. Despite being an approved breeding stallion, he is exceptionally kind, well-behaved and reliable.

Both in his daily handling and under saddle, he is an honest and enjoyable horse who gives his rider confidence.
